Michael W. Smith conert

We attended an outdoor concert featuring Michael W. Smith. We always love the idea of concerts, but by time we add up the costs of tickets for the WHOLE family we always think...."never mind!" This concert allowed children ages 12 & under to enter for free. To us that means CHA-CHING! So we packed up the kids (minus Angel, she had a previous babysitting arrangement to honor) and a few of their friends (one of the pluses to driving a 12 passenger van) and headed to Davenport.

It was a beautiful afternoon & evening. We hung out waiting for the main event to start. They were handing out the little Gideon Bibles that the kids thought were way cool.
Plenty of time to hang out along the banks of the good ole Mississippi River.

Andrew & (baby) Carmen were totally thrilled with the big cow walking around. Andrew was the only one brave enough to get close enough for a picture.

There was an open seating format. We sat back about 15 rows, but I got up often & was able to get up right close to the stage. He was a powerful singer, very moving. But also entertaining and light hearted when the time was right. We had a great time!
