John "serves" in the local
Young Marine unit. He has belonged for about a year now. He loves it. Jim, is also involved, he loves it as well. It's sort of like the boy scouts, but with a military emphasis. Even though we left that life years ago, at our core we are still a military family.
The Young Marines do various projects. Not only as a unit amongst themselves, but also within the community. They had a pancake breakfast to help with funds in running their unit. On a cold winter morning, the boys (and their parents) got up & served pancakes to those who stopped in to support the unit. The fundraiser was a great success!
They have a few members that play instruments & play as the Young Marine band. They are a nice group to listen to.
John thought it was funny that the sign says Watch Your Head and without even trying I have PLENTY of clearance under that spot.
