Bella Marie

The kids have been wanting a cat for sometime. Mandy specifically has begged for MONTHS, probably for over a year. We've had been visiting the Humane Society trying to find the right cat. One day we decided to take the plunge without even having a specific cat in mind to get. At the Humane Society we found what we thought was the perfect cat only to find out that it had been adopted, just not picked up yet. Bummer. So we kept looking and we came across Bella. She met all of our criteria and warmed up to us instantly. We were only slightly hesitant because she was owner surrendered. Sometimes that is not a good thing. When we inquired we were informed that her owner had to ship out to serve in Iraq and could no longer care for her. The owner cared deeply for Bella, but had no choice in the matter. That helped seal the deal and we made the arrangements to adopt Bella and bring her home. She has been a great cat thus far. She gets along well with Martina and mixes well with the kids. If you mess with her too much in the wrong way she will nip at you....just ask baby Carmen or Andrew or the little neighbor girl Carley, oh and Martina. Bella does not hesitate to show Martina who is really in charge if Martina insists on being up in her business too much. Bella is a real delight and a great addition to the Peterson Family Zoo.
