March in review

I'm not sure how her pants got all wet up to her knees or how her paci ended up in the middle of the puddle. I'm pretty sure though that Carmen had something to do with both of them! On a side note, we are now a paci free home!!!! Wasn't expecting it to happen when it did, but it did and there is no looking back now


Our friends the Flug's came to visit us for the weekend! We met David & Elizabeth years ago at IRBC and at first our friendship was on a basic level. We'd see each other at camp each year, wave a hello and that's about it. The last few years we've grown closer and we meet through out the year to visit each other.

Mandy, Brianna & John participated in the Awana games & helped take 1st place for our church.

We took a day trip up to Chicago. We went up for a surprise birthday party and decided to make a bit more of the trip. We spent some time at the Navy Pier. We had not visited there in years (I think only 2 of our 6 kids had been there before).



The surprise birthday party was for Jim's mom & dad. In the picture is Delores, Jim's mom (on the far left), along with Jim & his sister Angie & brother David. His mom turned 60, which means that Jim was on the verge of turning....well, I won't say, but his mom was 20 when she had him. DO THE MATH! They were certainly surprised. Not so much at the party, they kinda figured something was going on, but surprised that we were there (we had to drive 4 hours to get there and had to go back home that night too, that was one long drive home!)
Brianna was chosen to be a recipient for the Young Authors Award. All the students in the district submit a story, only 10 are chosen from each school. Good job Nina!
